Computer Problem

I was starting to go through withdrawal and didn't think I was going to be able to get on line at all today. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I think it's either my network card or the ethernet port at the back of my desk top computer. I'm going to take it tomorrow, I guess. I feel bad about having the cable company out three times when it looks like it's a hardware problem on my part. /o\ I don't even know why it started working again just now. I disconnected everything and hooked it back up again and boom! My computer was seeing the modem again. Don't know how long it will last. When are we going to get those chips in our head so we can surf the net with our brain? In the meantime, I'm going to see if they can patch up the old dinosaur here one more time.

I know how it feels to be cut off when the computer doesn't work right. Hope it's an easy fix.

You can often get a network card that plugs in at a usb port on the outside of your computer for around $20 Canadian. Might be a better option than sinking lots more cash into an older computer for a pro repair.

In any case, good luck!
